Homerun Derby:  2 Players per team / Team supplies Pitcher, Baseballs, and shaggers ( Field # TBD)

1st round 10 swings - top 4 advance

2nd round 10 swings - top 2 advance

Final round 10 swings


Around The Horn - 5 players (2 Attempts and we take the best time - Field # TBD)

Pitcher to Catcher

Catcher to 1st

1st to 2nd

2nd to 3rd

3rd to home


Fastest player - Home to home 2 players (2 attempts and we take the best time - Field # TBD)

Runner starts at home plate and will do a fake swing then run


Throwing accuracy - 3 players per team (5 throws - Field # TBD)

Hit the target in the air = 5 points

Hit the target on 1 hop = 3 points

Hit the target with more than 1 hop = 1 point

Right field to 3rd base

Ball will be rolled to the outfielder and they throw to a target at 3rd base (5 throws)

Format:

5 Game Guarantee

4 pool play games into single elimination

Pool Play Games:

Friday May 23rd (All teams will play 1 Game)

Sat May 24 - Sun May 25 Pool Play continues

Bracket Play:

Sun May 25 Some divisions may start Bracket Play

Monday May 26 Bracket play for all divisions

Game Time Requests:

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any game time request for this event.

Note: If you are making flight arrangements please plan on flying in day before opening day & for the end of the event please plan on flying out the day after championships.



Baseballs:

We are providing up to 2 new baseballs and 2 used baseballs per game.

Once these new baseballs are exhausted, lost or

not returned teams must provide back ups.

Unfortunately, we cannot supply an

endless amount of baseballs.

NCS BASEBALL PLAYING RULES:

NFHS rules will be followed with the following modifications


TEAM WAIVERS, PLAYER ROSTERS & INSURANCE:

Online Rosters and Insurance must be uploaded online prior to event. NO ROSTER, NO INSURANCE, NO PLAY !!!  

All coaches are responsible to fill out an online  roster.

Players that are not on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play!

Please don’t forget to fill out a Player Roster.



PLAYER AGE ELIGIBILITY:
All Baseball Tournaments age divisions up to 18U will use the May 1 age cutoff date. To determine your team's age, determine your oldest player's age as of April 30th. Player participating in a given division cannot turn the next age before May 1st of the current season. Example: Player in 10U division cannot turn 11 before May 1st of the current season or he is too old for that division and must play in the 11U division. Players may play up (no more than two age divisions) but not down in age.
All Coaches must have proof of players age with them at all times incase of a protest

NO REQUEST !!! All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play Friday at 8:00 am.

When do I pay the tournament entry fee?

All NCS Baseball tournaments are first pay/first play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the team entry fee. The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size

Do we supply our own baseballs?

NCS provides baseballs to umpires for every game


Can we bring outside food and coolers?

Yes, Concessions will also be available


When are our rosters locked and what do I do if a parents forgets/neglects to sign the waiver prior to the cutoff?

Online Rosters are available until 12 midnight the night before the tournament. Please submit your online rosters as soon as possible. We are trying to do away with the paper rosters and there will be a point when we won't take them anymore.  Please help us with this matter.  Players that are not on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play!

All coaches are responsible to fill out an online or paper roster with all the player’s information prior to the first game.

Online rosters are frozen the night before tournament at 12 midnight.

Paper Rosters are the last option to add any players but must be done before the first game of the tournament.
You may stop by the registration table to fill one out.
In not doing so, could result in having illegal or ineligible players and/or forfeit of games.

Behavior at the events

NCS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official or umpire.


Do I need team insurance?

Yes, if you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider.

Covid 19 best practices

No matter if you agree or disagree with the seriousness of the virus or what your political affiliation is, we believe there is a way to get back to playing baseball and softball safely. We are not trying to debate these precautionary measures, we are simply trying to get back on the field safely under the parameters and guidelines set forth by the state, city and CDC.

In the event of rain/weather or any act of God canceling the entire tournament, teams will be issued a credit towards a future NCS Southwest tournament.

In the event of paid team canceling prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future

NCS Southwest tournament. All payments are final   

In the event of rain canceling a tournament already in progress, a team may receive partial credit based on the amount games played

In the event of paid team canceling due to COVID-19 prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future NCS Cafarelli tournament.
