ADULT SOFTBALL RULES


ENTRY FEE: $300

WINNER RECEIVES

**Entry fee includes cost of umpires, there will be no gate fee. ENTRY FEE must be paid BEFORE tournament by deadline. We do not accept payments on day of tournament. 


GAME TIME LIMTS/GAME INFORMATION

  • 55 MIN OR 7 INNINGS WHICHEVER IS FIRST
  • Teams must add online roster BEFORE 1st game
  • 1 DAY TOURNAMENT = 3 GAME GUARANTEED (2 POOL & 1 BRACKET)
  • 2 DAY TOURNAMENT =  2 POOL GAME GUARANTEED (2 BRACKET DOUBLE ELIMINATION)
  • Teams MUST be ready to play 15 min before scheduled game time.
  • 5 runs per inning
  • There will be a maximum of one mound visit per inning and two mound visits per game.
  • In a bracket-only type event, a COIN FLIP will determine the home team throughout the event until the Championship Game. OTHERWISE, The undefeated team will always have the choice to take visitor or home but if the bracket goes to an "if" game, there will be a coin flip to determine the home team. 
  • If a division starts with POOL PLAY, the pool play portion of the event will have a coin flip to determine the home team in each game. Once the division gets into the bracket portion, the higher seed in the WINNER'S BRACKET will be the home team.
  • The home team and the umpire are responsible for working together to keep an accurate score
  • If the home team does not have a complete book but the visiting team does, we will have the umpire coordinate with the visiting team to keep the accurate score. (Umpire has final say)
  • There will be a maximum of one mound visit per inning and two mound visits per game.
  • If you do not follow this policy your team is subject to losing run's, out's of a forfeiture of the game..
  • Metal spikes of any kind are prohibited in NCS tournaments
  • Tennis shoes, rubber /plastic cleats, and turf shoes are all approved to wear in NCS tournaments. No flip-flops, sandals, or Crocs allowed for safety purposes.


RUN/MERCY RULES

  • 20 after 3innings / 15 after 4 innings /10 after 5 innings
  • FLIP FLOP RULE is in effect once you hit the 3rd inning. Which means at the end of the 3rd inning, the Home Team is losing by a margin of 20 or more runs, the Home Team and Visiting Team will 'flip-flop'. The Home Team will become the Visiting Team in the top of the 4th and the Visiting Team will become the Home Team


PITCHING RULES

  • 6ft to 10ft pitch height
  • Each at bat starts with a one ball – one strike (1 & 1) count with no extra fouls
  • The height restrictions will be a minimum of 4 feet from the ground up to a maximum of 10 feet from the ground
  • The ball must be pitched in a definite underhanded motion at slow speed.


BASES

  • Base distances of 70 ft are standard (65 ft bases may be used at TD’s or parks discretion) 


BUMP RULES

AA- 3 bumps (AAA)

AAA- 3 Bumps (Major)

Major- 3 Bumps (Major Plus)


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • SRSBTXS 2024 RULESBALLS: DUDLEY BALLS- .44/375 or .44/525 - NO STADIUM BALLS or .47 COR
  • Bats: 1.21 or less softball approved Bat (includes 220 compression USSSA stamped bats)

    

CONDUCT

  • Protests must be made before the end of 3rd inning(No exceptions) $100 if you win the protest your money is returned. Director will always work to compromise and continue play and have game settled on the field. If that cannot be achieved, then we will go by the book. 
  • Teams caught using underage players will be suspended indefinitely. Every player on illegal team's roster. Cheating will not be tolerated. 
  • Any rain out, Acts of God, or Global crisis that causes us to have to cancel an event before or during tournament play will result in a CREDIT based on the games played 
  • If the full game guarantee is met for the tournament (including forfeits), no credits or refunds will be given.
  • Once a game starts, it is considered a played game
