Frequent questions:

Will there be a Gate Fee?

There will be no gate fee collected for this event.

When do I pay the Tournament Entry Fee?

The REC tournament is a first-pay/first-play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the entry fee. Your age/division may sell out before the payment deadline, and usually does. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size. HVABSA does not accept checks. If you need to pay by cash, the deadlines still apply, and you will need to make arrangements with us to drop off a cash payment. Our event typically sells out early, so don't delay and pay early to secure your spot.

When will the Pool Play Schedules be posted?

We will complete all game schedules over the weekend before the tournament and post schedules on the following Monday or Tuesday.

Do teams supply their baseballs?

Yes, teams supply their baseballs for game play.

Can we bring outside food and coolers?

We encourage supporting the facilities' concession stands. Concession funds go to providing equipment and improving fields for future players' use.  However, participants and fans are allowed to bring outside food and coolers, excluding alcohol.

Please note: No glass containers are allowed at any field location.

Can we bring our pets or comfort animals to the tournament?

Yes, but strict adherence to the City of Highland Village, City of Corinth, and the City of Trophy Club leash laws, and clean up after your pet.

Note. Pet owners are responsible to know and abide by City Laws/Ordinances.

When are our rosters locked, and what do I do if a parent forgets/neglects to sign the waiver before the cutoff?

All rosters are locked on the Thursday evening prior to the event, when the events starts on Friday, and on Friday evening when the events starts on Saturday. All players must be listed on the public view teams page by the cutoff. Players that do not have signed waivers by the cutoff are not eligible to play.

How do I submit a schedule request?

All schedule requests must be submitted using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule requests until Friday evening, one week prior to the event. You can block out a 4-hour window on Friday or Saturday when you cannot play. Schedule requests that are more restrictive than a 4-hour ‘no play’ block will be difficult to accommodate, but we will do our best!

Example of a schedule request we will accept: We cannot play between 10 AM and 2 PM on Saturday.

Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating: We cannot play before 4 PM.

Note: Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening. we will do our best to accommodate the request.
