Qualifying teams will advance to the single-elimination championship bracket.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES AND AWARDS CEREMONIES

Championship games will be played in each division. Championship and Finalist Awards will be presented following the conclusion of each championship game.

2026 LATIN AMERICAN WORLD SERIES

SKILLS COMPETITION AND HOME RUN DERBY INFORMATION

Coaches, players, and parents,

Please review the field assignments, starting times, participation limits, arrival requirements, and official rules for the Skills Competition and Home Run Derby.

Coaches are responsible for making sure their participants report to the correct field, arrive on time, and understand all competition rules.

IMPORTANT ARRIVAL REQUIREMENT

All teams and individual participants must report to their assigned field at least 15 minutes before their scheduled starting time.

Late teams and individual participants will not be accepted or allowed to participate once their competition has started. Please allow enough time for parking, check-in, and preparation.

SKILLS COMPETITION

Competition Time: 7:00 AM-9:00 AM

FIELD ASSIGNMENTS

6U and 8U: Field 3

9U and 10U: Field 11

11U and 12U: Field 5

13U and 14U: Field 2

16U and 18U: Field 1

INFIELD AROUND THE HORN

Participation Limit: Up to six players per team

Number of Attempts: Two attempts per team

Competition Sequence:

1. The pitcher begins on the pitching mound and throws the ball to the catcher.

2. The timer begins when the pitcher releases the ball.

3. The catcher must step on home plate and throw to second base.

4. The second baseman must step on second base and throw to first base.

5. The first baseman must step on first base and throw to third base.

6. The third baseman must step on third base and throw to the shortstop.

7. The shortstop must step on second base and throw to the catcher.

8. The timer stops when the catcher receives the ball and steps on home plate.

TEAM BASE RUNNING RELAY

Participation Limit: Four players per team

Number of Attempts: Two attempts per team

Player Placement:

Two players will begin at home plate.

Two players will begin at second base.

No leadoffs are allowed.

Relay Sequence:

1. Runner 1 begins at home plate and runs to second base.

2. Runner 2, who is waiting behind second base, may take off only after Runner 1 touches second base and crosses in front of Runner 2.

3. Runner 2 runs from second base to home plate and passes in front of Runner 3.

4. Runner 3 then takes off, and the relay continues in the same manner.

5. The timer stops when Runner 4 touches home plate.

Additional Rules:

All runners must begin behind the base or inside the right-handed batter’s box.

Leaving early will result in a five-second penalty.

All relay races will take place on a regulation baseball field.

FASTEST MAN

Participation Limit: Two players per team

Number of Attempts: One attempt per participant

Each contestant will begin at home plate with their lead foot touching the plate.

The race begins on the official’s signal.

Each contestant must run one complete lap around the bases and finish by touching home plate.

The timer stops when the runner returns to and touches home plate.

PLAYER SELECTION

Each team may select up to three players to participate in the Home Run Derby.

TIME LIMIT AND COMPETITION FORMAT

Each participant will have one minute to hit as many home runs as possible.

Each participant will be allowed two practice pitches before the official one-minute round begins.

Once the timed round begins, no additional warm-up or practice pitches will be allowed.

Only fair balls hit over the outfield fence or designated home run line will count as home runs.

Any pitch that does not result in a home run, including a pitch that is not swung at, will be recorded as an out.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Each team is responsible for providing its own:

Pitcher

Baseballs

Shaggers or ball retrievers

Teams should bring enough baseballs to complete the entire one-minute round without unnecessary delays.

All teams must be sanctioned for the 2026 season to participate.
Register and complete your sanctioning through PlayNCS.com prior to the event.

Team Entry Fee (D3 & Open Divisions)

  • 5U–6U: $1,500

  • 7U–8U: $1,500

  • 9U–12U: $1,500

  • 13U: $1,500

  • 14U: $1,500

  • 16U–18U: $1,500


Team Gate Fee

  • $100 per player on the official team roster

  • Due at team check-in

  • Accepted payment: Cash or Credit Card only (No checks)

  • Parents & fans enter free

  • All payments are non-refundable (4% processing fee applies to all card transactions)

TEAM TRANSPORTATION – DMC SUPPORT

Teams needing local transportation during the event week may contact our official DMC (Destination Management Company) in Mérida for assistance with:

 Playing Rules

All games follow NCS International Rules.

(For International Rules, there are no grade exceptions. Players must participate in the age division they are eligible for based on the tournament age requirements)



📝 Waivers, Rosters & Insurance

All items must be completed online prior to the event.

NO ROSTER, NO INSURANCE, NO PLAY.
Only players listed on an online or printed roster are eligible.




🌧 Weather / Cancellation Policy

  • Full cancellation: Credit toward a future NCS International event

  • Partial cancellation (weather): Credit based on games played

  • Team withdrawal prior to event: No refund or credit
