Portland, Texas has quickly become one of the Gulf Coast’s premier youth baseball destinations. With state-of-the-art fields, passionate fans, and a family-friendly atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for championship baseball.

• Division must contain at least 6 teams
• Combined age divisions count as one division

4 Game Guarantee
• 2 Pool Play Games
• Double Elimination Playoff Bracket
• Most teams will play more than 4 games
Additional Format Details
• Saturday: Pool Play
• Sunday: Bracket Play
• Odd/Even divisions may be combined during pool play and separated during bracket play
• Divisions with 8+ teams will feature Gold & Silver Brackets
• Earn 4X NCS Ranking Points
⚾ GAME RULES & INFORMATION
General Rules
• “Finish the Inning” format — No Drop-Dead Time
• Game clock starts immediately after plate meeting
• Teams should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to game time
• Be prepared to play anytime Saturday 8:00 AM through Sunday 10:00 PM
• Games may end by time limit, completed innings, or run rule

• 15 after 3 innings
• 10 after 4 innings
• 8 after 5 innings

⚾ BATTING OPTIONS
Teams may choose one of the following:
• Bat Straight 9
• Bat 9 with a DH
• Bat 10 with an EH
• Bat Entire Lineup
⚠️ Teams may NOT use both a DH and EH simultaneously.

RULE 8.01 – NO OFFICIAL PITCHING LIMITS
While there are no official pitching restrictions for this event, we strongly encourage coaches to prioritize player health and safety and use responsible discretion when managing pitchers.

📅 SCHEDULE REQUEST POLICY
All schedule requests must be submitted through the Schedule Request tab in the event menu no later than Tuesday evening before the tournament.
✅ Acceptable Example
“We cannot play between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday.”
❌ Difficult to Accommodate
“We cannot play before 4:00 PM.”
Request Guidelines
• Teams may block ONE four-hour period on Friday or Saturday
• More restrictive requests may not be accommodated
• Requests are NOT guaranteed
⚠️ Teams must be prepared to play anytime Saturday through Sunday evening.
⚾ GAME BALLS
• Up to 2 official NCS baseballs provided per game
• Teams must help retrieve foul balls
• Additional baseballs must be supplied by teams once provided balls are lost or not returned

🚫 VENUE GUIDELINES
• No metal cleats on portable mounds or turf
• Water only on turf, dugouts, and mounds
• No smoking, vaping, or tobacco products
• No outside food, drinks, or coolers
• Players may bring one personal water jug
• No pets except certified service animals
• No scooters (ADA scooters permitted)
• No alcohol allowed
• No BBQ pits, heaters, or open flames

Registration
Teams must be NCS sanctioned for the current season.
Roster Deadline
Roster must be submitted online by Friday at 11:59 PM.
⚠️ Only rostered players may participate.
Insurance Requirements
• Insurance must be uploaded online
• Paper copies will NOT be accepted
• If not purchased through NCS, add NCS as Additional Insured
• OR pay a $30 No Insurance Fee
