Rules 7u-8u:

Defensive Player Positions. When a team is on defense, they will play with 10 players on the field.

All teams must bat minimum of 10 batters, with free substitutions.

When Batting the Roster there is free defensive substitution.If a player is lost due to injury or illness during the game, slot is subject to an out the first time through, then the lineup is compressed without further penalty.

The batting order never changes. A team can begin a game with 8 or more players. If you are playing with 8 or 9 players, when the 9th and 10th batting spots come up and there is not a player in that spot, an automatic out will be charged. Any player that arrives after the game begins will be added to the bottom of the batting order. If at any time the lineup falls below 8, either by ejection, injury or illness, the game results in a forfeit. If a player is ejected, then each subsequent scheduled plate appearance by the ejected player results in an out.

6 runs max per inning, after 3 inning open.

Mercy Rule15 runs after 3 complete innings, 8 runs after 4 complete innings.

The batter shall receive a maximum of six (6) pitches or three (3) swinging strikes. However, the at-bat may not end on a foul ball. For example, if the 6th pitch is fouled, then a 7th pitch is awarded, otherwise known as a continuation of the at-bat. An at-bat will not end on a foul ball.

2. Complete Player Roster Online – All players must be added to the official roster.

3. Provide Team Insurance – Upload a copy of your team insurance policy online.

   • If not purchased through NCS, add National Championship Sports as additionally insured (free through your insurance provider).

   • Insurance must be uploaded online. No insurance will be accepted at the event.

• NFHS Rules will be followed with Southwest Regional Modifications

• Online rosters & insurance must be uploaded prior to the event

• NO ROSTER, NO INSURANCE, NO PLAY!

• All coaches are responsible for completing their team’s online roster.

• Players not listed on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play.

🌧 WEATHER & CANCELLATION POLICY

• Full Tournament Canceled (Weather/Act of God): Teams will receive a credit towards a future NCS National Premier Tournament.

• Team Cancels Before Tournament: Team will receive a credit towards a future NCS National Premier Tournament.

• Rain During Tournament (Already in Progress): Partial credit may be issued based on games played.

• All Payments Are Final.
