We appreciate your trust and support and are excited to welcome your team to Portland, Texas for a great weekend of baseball along the Texas Gulf Coast.

Portland offers a great setting for youth baseball, combining quality facilities, competitive baseball, and a welcoming family-friendly atmosphere.

Located just minutes from Corpus Christi and the Texas Gulf Coast, Portland gives teams and families plenty to enjoy both on and off the field throughout the weekend.

We look forward to hosting your team and creating a memorable championship experience.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

3-Game Guarantee

Saturday: 2 Pool Games
Sunday: Single-Elimination Bracket

Games use Finish the Inning format — no drop-dead time.

Odd and even age divisions may be combined for pool play and separated for bracket play.

Teams should be prepared to play anytime from Friday at 6:00 PM through Sunday evening and should arrive at least 15 minutes before game time.

WINTER SUPER SERIES QUALIFIER

Gold Division Champions receive a FREE TEAM ENTRY to their choice of:

Laredo Border Winter Super Series
December 5–6, 2026 — Laredo, Texas

South Coast Winter Super Series
December 12–13, 2026 — Portland, Texas

South Texas Winter Super Series
December 19–20, 2026 — McAllen, Texas

Minimum 6 teams in the division required to qualify.
Combined age divisions count as one division.

PAP must be paid before each game.

NNI = No New Inning
The game clock begins immediately after the plate meeting.

Early registration and payment are strongly encouraged.

  • Team Entry Fee paid

  • Online Roster Completed by Friday at 11:59 PM

  • Only players listed on the online roster may participate.

  • Team Insurance Uploaded OR $30 No Insurance Fee Paid

SCHEDULE REQUESTS

Schedule requests must be submitted through the Schedule Request tab by Tuesday evening before the tournament.

Teams may request one 4-hour period on Friday or Saturday when they cannot play.

Schedule requests are not guaranteed.

Teams must remain available to play from Friday evening through Sunday evening.

GATE ADMISSION

Ages 10 & Up: $12 Daily Admission
Ages 9 & Under: FREE
Up to 3 Coaches + Uniformed Players: FREE

Wristbands must be worn for admission and re-entry.

Lost, removed, or damaged wristbands will not be replaced.

Weekend Passes, when available, must be purchased online and are not sold at the gate.

Run Rule:
20 after 1 | 15 after 2 | 12 after 3 | 10 after 4 | 8 after 5

International Tie Breaker:
Bases Loaded | Last 3 Batters | 1 Out | No Count

Batting Options:
Straight 9 | 9 with DH | 10 with EH | Entire Lineup

Teams may not use both a DH and EH.

6U Rec: Regular T-Ball Rules
6U Open: Modified Coach Pitch Rules

Pitching: There are no official pitching limitations. Coaches are expected to prioritize player health and use responsible pitching practices.

Game Balls: 2 official NCS baseballs are provided per game. Please help retrieve foul balls to prevent delays.

CITY OF PORTLAND — FACILITY RULES

Please review and share these rules with all players, coaches, families, and fans.

  • No outside food, drinks, or personal coolers

  • Players may bring one personal water jug/cooler up to 1 gallon

  • Water only in dugouts and on artificial turf

  • No sunflower seeds, shelled snacks, gum, candy, food, sports drinks, or soda on artificial turf or in dugouts

  • No glass containers

  • No cleats or spikes on artificial turf

  • No soft toss or throwing balls against fences or facility structures

  • No alcohol, smoking, tobacco, or vaping

  • No pets; ADA service animals permitted but not on playing fields

  • No heaters, grills, cooking devices, or open flames

  • No Bluetooth speakers, air horns, or loud music

  • Cameras must be freestanding and may not be attached to fences or facility structures

  • Lawn chairs and pop-up tents are permitted in designated spectator areas

  • Do not stake tents into artificial turf

  • No recreational scooters or motorized vehicles inside the gates; ADA mobility devices permitted

  • Park only in designated areas

  • No RVs, campers, or overnight parking

  • Please dispose of trash properly and help keep the facility clean

Posted City of Portland rules and instructions from facility staff take precedence.

LIGHTNING & SEVERE WEATHER

When the lightning warning system sounds, all activity must stop and everyone must seek shelter.

Play may resume only after the all-clear signal is given.

SPORTSMANSHIP

NCS has a ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY for inappropriate or unsportsmanlike conduct by players, coaches, parents, or spectators.

Players, coaches, or spectators will be removed from the facility or tournament for fighting, threats, abusive language, harassment, disorderly conduct, property damage, or failure to follow staff instructions.

WEATHER / CANCELLATION POLICY

Full Event Cancellation:
Credit toward a future NCS Texas Premier event.

Partial Event Cancellation:
Credit may be issued based on the number of games played.

Team Withdrawal:
No refunds or credits.

All sales are final. Refunds are not issued. Applicable credits may be provided according to event policy.
