Rule Modification: March 5-7, 2020 / Spring Training NIT / Yuma, Arizona 

Pool Play Game Time Limit 

9U-12U: 1 hour 40 minutes / No new inning 

13U-14U: 1 hour 45 minutes  / No new inning 

16U: 1 hour 50 minutes / No new inning 


Bracket play  Game time Limit

9U-12U: 1 hour 40 minutes / No new inning 

13U-14U: 1 hour 45 minutes / No new inning 

16U: 1 hour 50 minutes / No new inning 

( Championship Games with no game after will play full game with  NO TIME LIMIT ) 

( Championship Games with game after will play bracket time limit ) 



City of Yuma COVID 19 Tournament Guidelines 

- Each team must designate a COVID-19 Enforcement representative to enforce the guidelines and procedures. This individual must be listed on the printed roster and be onsite every game. 

- Mask are Required to be worn at all times by all individuals including coaches, spectators, players, umpires and tournament staff when entering, while inside and when exiting the ball complex 

- Players may remove their mask once on the designated field surface 

-  No more than 2 legal guardians per player 

- No more than 2 adults form the dame family under a tent and social distance required 

- spectators will need to bring their own chairs and shade and can only sit in designated areas. No exceptions 

- Spectators are required to spread out down the foul lines and between the temporary outfield fence and permanent fence and must be a minimum of 6ft between grouping 

- Teams and their spectators must exit the ball field complex immediately after their game or in between games if not playing 

- No team meetings in spectators area 

- Anyone not following these policies will be removed from the ball fields complex by the tournament organizers and City of Yuma Staff 

- If a guardian is removed from the ball field complex, the player will be removed as well due to safe play act regarding supervision.

ALL TEAMS MUST BE AVAILABLE AND READY TO START POOL PLAY 1:00 PM FRIDAY  


When do I pay the tournament entry fee? 

All NCS Baseball tournaments are first pay/first play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the entry fee or the gate fee. The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size.

Do we supply our own baseballs? 

NCS provides baseball for every game

How do i submit a schedule request?

Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event. You can block out a 4 hour block on Friday or Saturday that you cannot play only! Schedule request that are more restrictive than a 4 hour "no play" block will be difficult to accommodate but we will do our best!.

Example of a schedule request we will accept: We cannot play between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.
Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating: We cannot play before 4pm.
Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening, we will do our best to accommodate request.


Can we bring outside food and coolers?
Yes, participants and fans are allowed to bring outside food and coolers excluding alcohol.


When are our rosters locked and what do I do if a parents forgets/neglects to sign the waiver prior to the cutoff?
All rosters are locked on the Thursday evening prior to the event. All players must be listed on the public view teams page by the cutoff. Players that do not have signed waivers by the cutoff are not eligible to play! 

Behavior at the events
NCS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official or umpire. 

Do I need team insurance?
Yes, if you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. We must receive your insurance by the Thursday prior to the event (email to ncstournaments@gmail.com)

Covid 19 best practices 
No matter if you agree or disagree with the seriousness of the virus or what your political affiliation is, we believe there is a way to get back to playing baseball and softball safely. We are not trying to debate these precautionary measures, simply trying to get back on the field safely under the parameters and guidelines set forth by the state, city and CDC.

In the event of rain/weather or any act of God canceling the entire tournament, teams will be issued a credit towards a future NCS Southwest tournament.

In the event of paid team canceling prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future

NCS Southwest tournament.  

In the event of rain canceling a tournament already in progress, a team may receive partial credit based on the amount games played

In the event of paid team canceling due to COVID-19 prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future NCS Southwest tournament.
