All D1 to D3 teams are welcome, we do our best to match teams within divisions for seeding to keep things as fair and fun as possible!

 Gate Fee is $10 for ages 13 and older. 12 and under is free. 

All players and (3) coaches are free  

Rules

6U Rules:

Batter - 3 pitches. 

Can swing at all 3

1 swing from a Tee

Where does catchers position; During the pitch- catchers can try and catch the ball. While ball is on Tee- stand back

Does the batter/runner and runners have to stop at the base or are they allowed to keep running until they stop running or time is called? 

If ball is hit from Tee, hitter and runners get 2 bases. 

Hit from pitch ball, they can keep running. 

Is there an arc in front of home plate that dictates whether a batted ball is considered a playable ball? 

There is a 10’ arc in front of the plate, measured from point of home plate. 

If the batter doesn’t hit the pitches, and hits from the tee the ball has to go beyond the arc or it’s a foul ball. 

Offense : 2 base coaches, 1 pitching coach, Pitching coach can talk to batter, then help when Tee is brought in. When the ball is hit, let the base coaches instruct the runner. 

Defense : 2 outfield coaches, 2 dug out

What’s the rule about number of players? Is 9 considered legal or do you have to take an out for the 10th batter? 9 is legal, 10 can play in field. If you start with 10 need to finish with 10. You can bat the whole line up. 

Time limit- Pool Play 60 minutes  /  Bracket play - 65

No new inning begins with 5 minutes or less remaining. 

Mercy rule- 15 after 3 ; 10 after 4 ; 8 after 5 ; 7 runs per inning

We utilize outs instead of innings for pitching totals.

We allow -5 bats in 14u D2 and D3 and younger

7/8U time limits 

pool play 60 min, bracket play 65 min,  no new inning begins with 5 min or less remaining in pool play. 

13/14U time limit for pool 80min and 90 min bracket play. No new inning begins with 5 minutes or less remaining. 

We do not allow metal cleats on any turf fields or temporary mounds.

How do I submit a schedule request?

DF DUB will allow each team to block out any 4 hour period during pool play. We cannot block times for bracket play!  To request your 4 hour block in pool play, please email gilbert19gonzalez@gmail.com Requests not received Monday prior to the Tournament Start Date will not be honored. We work very hard to accommodate schedules, but we can only do so much!

Can we bring outside food and coolers?

Yes

Can we bring our pets or service animals to the tournament?

All pets must be on a leash  

When are our rosters locked and what do I do if a parent forgets/neglects to sign the waiver prior to the cutoff?

All rosters are locked on the evening prior to the 1 day of the event. All players must be listed on the public view teams page by the cutoff. Players that do not have signed waivers by the cutoff are not eligible to play! 

Behavior at the events DF DUB  has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards another tournament fan, parent, player, coach, official, or umpire.  We will not subject children to dangerous, or abusive behavior from anyone at our tournaments!!!

Do I need team insurance?

Yes, if you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. We must receive your insurance no later than the day prior to the 1 day of our event (email to GoldCrownTournaments@gmail.com)
