3 Game Guarantee
Saturday: Pool Games
Sunday:  Bracket Games
Gold & Silver Sunday Brackets for divisions with 8+ teams
All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.

NCS BASEBALL PLAYING RULES:
NFHS rules will be followed with the following modifications

FIELD DIMENSIONS:
5u-8u: 40/60
9u-10u: 46/65
11u-12u: 50/70
13u: 54/80
14u-18u: 60/90

GAME TIMES & PAP:
(2 Man Crew):
5u-8u:(1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $30
9u-12u:(1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $40
13u-14u:(1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $45
16u-18u:(2:00 or 7 inns) PAP $50

(1 Man Crew):
5u-8u:(1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $20
9u-12u:(1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $25
13u-14u:(1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $30
16u-18u:(2:00 or 7 inns) PAP $35

No new inning after time limit has expired.
Game Clock starts at the conclusion of the plate meeting. No Drop Dead Time.
Teams should be ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time.

HOME TEAM:
Coin Flip in all Pool Play games

Single Elimination Bracket Play Games:
High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all Single Elimination Bracket Play Games INCLUDING the Championship Game.

Double Elimination Bracket Play Games:
High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all Single Elimination Bracket Play games EXCEPT the Championship Game.
The undefeated team chooses (Home/Visitor) in the Championship Game. Coin-flip for “If Game”. 

OFFICIAL SCORE:
Home team keeps official score book.
Visitor team keeps official score book if Home team doesn’t have one.
Umpire(s) keeps official score if neither team is keeping an official scorebook. 
All teams go to umpire with all changes.

LINEUP OPTIONS:
Opt 1: Bat 9. (with or without DH)
Opt 2: Bat 10 with DH and/or EH. *EH can interchange freely to defense.
Opt 3: Bat entire roster; if player is injured or ejected; Automatic out is recorded when that spot comes up to bat.

BAT RESTRICTIONS:
Wood and/or Non-Wood Bats stamped with any of the following:
(BBCOR .50), (USSSA 1.15 BPF), (USA Baseball).

BAT WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
5u-12u:(No weight restrictions)
13u:(-8 max)
14u:(-5 max)
15u-18u:(-3 max)

OFFICIAL GAMES:
5u-12u: 6 INNS Official after 3 (2.5) Inns.
13u-18u: 7 INNS Official after 4 (3.5) Inns.
Weather or other unforeseen could result in a point of interruption of continuance.

RUN RULES (All Divisions):
15 after 3 innings, 10 after 4 innings, 8 after 5 innings.
No mathematical calculation to end early.

TIE GAMES:
Pool Play: TIE stands
Bracket Play: NCS Tie-Breaker
1st inning, last batted out from previous inning begins at 2nd base. No outs.
2nd inning, loaded bases with last 3 batters. No outs.
3rd inning, loaded bases with last 3 batters. 1 out.
4th+ innings, loaded bases with last 3 batters. 2 outs.
Championship Game will also use speed up.

COURTESY RUNNERS:
Are Allowed. Last batted out if no eligible subs available.

RE-ENTRY:
Allowed for all starters. Teams can play with 8. Forfeit if fall below 8.

DEFENSIVE CONFERENCES:
Three per game.

INTENTIONAL WALKS:
No pitches 

METAL CLEATS:
No metal cleats in 12u and under.
No metal &/or rubber cleats on portable turf mounds.
No metal &/or rubber cleats on turf fields &/or surfaces.

CATCHERS HELMET:
All Divisions: One-Piece.

PLAYERS: 
No Jewelry

New Rule:
Players are not allowed to play on two different teams in the same age division in the same tournament. However, they are allowed to play in two different age divisions in the same tournament as long as they are legal age.

FORCE PLAY-SLIDE RULE:
In effect. Slide legally or veer away from defense.

MISSED BAGS (APPEALS): 
Must be properly appealed as in NFHS.

MALICIOUS CONTACT:
If umpire judges intent, player is OUT and EJECTED.

EJECTION PROTOCOL:
Remind, Warn, Restrict, and Eject.
Egregious conduct needs no warning.

EJECTIONS:
Any team personnel (including fans) are the responsibility of the manager.
Anyone ejected will leave premises immediately.
Director will review all incidents.

TEAM WAIVERS AND PLAYER ROSTERS:
Online Rosters are available until 12 midnight the night before the tournament. Please submit your online rosters as soon as possible. We are trying to do away with the paper rosters and there will be a point when we won't take them anymore.  Please help us with this matter.  Players that are not on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play!

All coaches are responsible to fill out an online or paper roster with all the player’s information prior to the first game.
Online rosters are frozen the night before tournament at 12 midnight.
Paper Rosters are the last option to add any players but must be done before the first game of the tournament.
You may stop by the registration table to fill one out.
In not doing so, could result in having illegal or ineligible players and/or forfeit of games.
Players that are not on an online or paper roster are not eligible to play!
Please don’t forget to fill out a Player Roster.

PLAYER AGE ELIGIBILITY:
All Baseball Tournaments age divisions up to 18U will use the May 1 age cutoff date. To determine your team's age, determine your oldest player's age as of April 30th. Player participating in a given division cannot turn the next age before May 1st of the current season. Example: Player in 10U division cannot turn 11 before May 1st of the current season or he is too old for that division and must play in the 11U division. Players may play up (no more than two age divisions) but not down in age.
All Coaches must have proof of players age with them at all times incase of a protest.

SCHEDULE REQUEST:
All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.  Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event. You can block out a 4 hour block on Friday or Saturday that you cannot play only! Schedule request that are more restrictive than a 4 hour "no play" block will be difficult to accommodate but we will do our best!.

Example of a schedule request we will accept: We cannot play between 8am and 12pm on Saturday.

Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating: We cannot play before 4pm.
Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening.

REMEMBER: this is just a request not a guarantee but we will do our best to accommodate you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

When do I pay the tournament entry fee?
All NCS Baseball tournaments are first pay/first play. Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the team entry fee. The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline. The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size.

Do we supply our own baseballs?
NCS provides baseballs to umpires for every game

How do i submit a schedule request?
Please submit all schedule request using the schedule request tab on the event menu. We will take schedule request until the Tuesday evening prior to the event. Can we bring outside food and coolers?
No, participants and fans are NOT allowed to bring outside food, drinks and/or coolers.

Behavior at the events
NCS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official or umpire.

Do I need team insurance?
Yes, if you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. We must receive your insurance by the Thursday prior to the event (email to NCS.SouthTexas@gmail.com)

Covid 19 best practices
No matter if you agree or disagree with the seriousness of the virus or what your political affiliation is, we believe there is a way to get back to playing baseball and softball safely. We are not trying to debate these precautionary measures, we are simply trying to get back on the field safely under the parameters and guidelines set forth by the state, city and CDC.

In the event of rain/weather or any act of God canceling the entire tournament, teams will be issued a credit towards a future NCS Southwest tournament.

In the event of paid team canceling prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future

NCS Southwest tournament. All payments are final   

In the event of rain canceling a tournament already in progress, a team may receive partial credit based on the amount games played

In the event of paid team canceling due to COVID-19 prior to tournament, team will receive credit towards future NCS Southwest tournament.
