TI 2.00 TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

  • 3 Game Guarantee

  • 2 Pool Games

  • Single Elimination Bracket

  • SATURDAY: 2 Pool Games

  • SUNDAY: Single Elimination Bracket & Championship Games

  • All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play on Friday at 6pm and/or Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.

TI 3.00 TEAM ENTRY FEE:

  • 4U-12U: $100 + PAP

  • 13U-18U: $150 + PAP

  • REC TEAMS: FREE + PAP

TI 4.00 GAME TIMES & PAP (RGV):

  • (2 Man Crew):

    • 5u-6u: (1:00 or 6 inn) PAP $25 per game

    • 7u-8u: (1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $30 per game

    • 9u-12u: (1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $40 per game

    • 13u-18u: (1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $50 per game

  • (1 Man Crew):

    • 5u-6u: (1:00 or 6 inn) PAP $15 per game

    • 7u-8u: (1:15 or 6 inn) PAP $20 per game

    • 9u-12u: (1:30 or 6 inn) PAP $30 per game

    • 13u-18u: (1:45 or 7 inn) PAP $35 per game

  • POOL GAMES:

    • Finish The Batter.

  • BRACKET GAMES:

    • No new inning after the complete time limit has expired.

    • No 5 minute grace period to end the game early.

    • No Drop Dead Time. 

    • Teams should be ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time. 

    • Game Clock starts at the conclusion of the plate meeting. 

    • All games must start at their scheduled times unless otherwise approved by one of the tournament directors.

TI 5.00 SPECTATOR ADMISSION / GATE FEE:

  • 10 YRS & Up $7 per person

  • 5-9 YRS $5 per person

  • 4 YRS & Under FREE

  • 3 Coaches per Team FREE

  • Uniformed Players FREE

TI 6.00 REMINDERS: (NO METAL CLEATS, NO FOOD, NO COOLERS):

  • No Metal Cleats or Metal Spikes are allowed on portable pitching mounds and/or any turf surfaces.

  • No Food &/or Drinks of any kind are allowed on any turf playing field, turf playing dugouts, and turf portable pitching mounds.

  • Smoking, Smokeless Tobacco and/or Chewing Tobacco are NOT allowed in any of the tournament parks and/or complexes.  

  • No Outside Food &/Or Drinks are allowed into the tournament complex.

  • No Ice Chests are allowed into the tournament complex.

  • As much as we would like to allow it, we have tried to do so in the past and it has gotten out of hand.  However, players are allowed to take one personal jug or container in with them.  Must be the player bringing in the personal container and not the parent.

TI 7.00 PAYMENT OPTIONS:

  • Your entry into an event is not complete until you have paid the team entry fee.

  • All though Payments Are Due by Monday Before the Day of The Event,
    All Events are First Pay/First Play. 

  • The division may sell out prior to the payment deadline.

  • The number of available spots in a division may fluctuate depending on the needs of all divisions that share the same field size.

  • PAYMENT OPTIONS:

TI 8.00 SCHEDULE REQUEST:

  • Teams must be prepared to play from Friday evening until Sunday evening.

  • All teams must be ready and available to begin pool play on Friday at 6pm and/or Saturday at 8:00 am unless otherwise requested.

  • Please submit all schedule requests using the schedule request tab on the online event menu.

  • We will take a schedule request until Tuesday evening prior to the event. 

  • You can block out a 4 hour block on Friday or Saturday that you cannot play only!

  • Schedule requests that are more restrictive than a 4 hour "no play" block will be difficult to accommodate but we will do our best.

  • Example of a schedule request we will accept:
    We cannot play between 8am and 12pm on Saturday.”

  • Example of a schedule request that we will have trouble accommodating:
    “We cannot play before 4pm.”

  • Remember, this is just a request not a guarantee but we will do our best to accommodate your request.

TI 9.00 PLAYER’S AGE ELIGIBILITY:

  • All baseball tournaments age divisions 4u-18u will use the May 1st age cutoff date. 

  • Your Team’s Age Division is determined by your oldest player's age as of April 30th of the current season year.  

  • Players participating in a given division cannot turn the next age before May 1st of the current season year. 

  • Example: A player in the 10U division cannot turn 11 before May 1st of the current season or he is too old for that division and must play in the 11U division.

  • Players may play up (no more than two age divisions) but not play down in age.

  • All players participating in tournament play shall always have photocopies of their original birth certificate in the possession of their team manager.

  • NCS will only allow two grade exceptions per age division.

  • All grade-based players must have a copy of their birth certificate, current report card, or official school ID with the grade, or any official government document stating the grade.

  • Upon protest, failure to have a photocopy of the original documentation available within one hour upon demand shall result in the offending team losing the game(s) and being ejected from the tournament.

TI 10.00 PLAYER’S ELIGIBILITY TO PLAY:

  • All players have to been entered on the online on the player team roster
    (Back Office or Public).Penalty: Player is removed from the game and cannot continue to play.

TI 11.00 TEAM INSURANCE:

TI 12.00 BEHAVIOR AT THE EVENTS:

  • NCS has a zero tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for adverse behavior towards a tournament official and/or umpire.

TI 13.00 RAIN-OUT & TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY:

  • Every possible effort will be made to complete an event already in progress.

  • Schedules may be changed, games & events may be shortened, in order to complete the event. 

  • In the event of a tournament being canceled because of weather or any other unpreventable occurrence, teams will be issued a credit towards a future event.

  • In the event of rain canceling an event already in progress or if an event/division is completely canceled a team will receive credit based on the number of games played.

    • No games played, a full credit of entry fee for a future event.

    • One game played, 2/3 credit of entry fee for a future event.

    • Two games played, 1/3 credit of entry fee for a future event.

    • Three games played, no credit will be issued.

  • All credits must be used with the same director of the canceled event and are not transferable to another area, region, director or team.

TI 14.00 TEAM CANCELLATIONS REFUND POLICY:

  • Teams canceling or dropping out of any event, regardless of their reason to drop out, must notify the event director in writing via email &/or text message, not via phone by the team manager or the business manager of the team.

  • If a team drops out of an event, past the cancellation deadline, the team will forfeit in full their team entry fee. No drops will be accepted once a division is "Sold Out" at any time. NO EXCEPTIONS

  • 1, 2 & 3 Day Events, Regionals, NIT's, and State Championships Events:

    • If notification is prior to 14 days of the event date, a full credit for a future event will be given.

    • If notification is between 7 to 14 days before the event date, 50 percent of the team fees will be credited for a future event.

    • If notification is fewer than 7 days before the event date, no credit will be given. 

  • World Series Events and Any 4+ Day Events:

    • Entry fees or deposits are non-refundable at any time for any reason & will be forfeited should a team drop out from a World Series and/or any 4+ Day Event.
      NO EXCEPTIONS

  • NOTE:

    • Credits are at the sole discretion of the director and are awarded normally under only the most severe circumstances on a team to team basis.

    • Credits must also be used by the same team (non-transferable) and with the same event director that you were originally scheduled to play with.

    • Any and all entry fee credits must be used within the same current season (which they are granted) or within 90 calendar days, whichever comes first, otherwise the credit becomes void. 

    • Credit Card Processing fees are not refundable as we do not receive them when you submit payment with a credit card.

This Tournament DOES NOT Have Any Pitch Count Limits


NO METAL CLEATS ALLOWED:
No metal cleats in teams 12u and under.
No metal cleats on any turf fields &/or surfaces.
No metal cleats on portable turf mounds.

NO METAL CLEATS ARE ALLOWED AT ANY OF THE FOLLOWING FACILITIES:
All & Any of McAllen Sports Facilities.
McAllen Youth  Baseball Complex
McAllen Municipal Park
McAllen Westside Park

OFFICIAL LINE-UP CARD:
OFFICIAL Line-Up Card must be turned into Home Plate Umpire at or before Home Plate meeting before the beginning of each game. All players participating in the game must be entered on an official team line-up card to be eligible to participate in the game. Any player arriving after the start of a game must be listed on the official team line-up card that was turned in to the umpires prior to the start of the game. Any late player may be added to the official team line-up card at any time during the course of the game. However, they must be added before they are eligible to play.  

PENALTY:

BATTING:  The player will be called out and must be added to the official line-up card.
DEFENSE: No penalty and must be added to the official line-up card as a substitute.

ORGANIZATIONAL PROTECTION:
No two teams from the same organization will match-up in their first playoff game unless the game is affected by a bye.

POOL PLAY PROTECTION:
Director reserves the right to enact pool protection at their discretion. If two teams have previously matched up in pool play, lower seeds may be switched to provide teams with new opponents for the first round of bracket play.

TIE GAMES:
Pool Play: TIE stands
Bracket Play & Championship Games: NCS Tie-Breaker
1st inning, loaded bases with the last 3 batters. No outs.
2nd inning, loaded bases with the last 3 batters. 1 out.
3rd+ innings, loaded bases with the last 3 batters. 2 outs.
Never touch the batter’s count.

MERCY RUN RULES:
(5u-8u):
No Mercy Run Rule
No mathematical calculation to end a game early.

(9u-18u):

15 runs after 3 complete innings of play.

10 runs after 4 complete innings of play.

BAT WEIGHT LIMITATIONS:
All Wood and/or Non-Wood Bats stamped with any of the following:
(BBCOR .50), (USSSA 1.15 BPF), (USA Baseball).
5u-12u: (No weight restrictions)
13u: (No bats lighter than -8 max)
14u: (No bats lighter than -5 max)
15u-18u: (No bats lighter than -3 max/BBCOR ONLY)

INTENTIONAL WALKS:

May be announced by the manager in all (9u-18u) divisions.

No pitches are necessary.

HOME TEAM:

Coin Flip in all Pool Play games.

Single Elimination Bracket Play Games:

High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all Single Elimination Bracket Play Games INCLUDING the Championship Game.

Double Elimination Bracket Play Games:

High Seed chooses (Home/Visitor) in all Double Elimination Bracket Play games EXCEPT the Championship Game.

The undefeated team chooses (Home/Visitor) in the Championship Game. Coin-flip for any “IF” Games. 

OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER:

Home team must keep an official score book.

Visitor team keeps an official score book if Home team doesn’t have one.

Umpire(s) keeps official score if neither team is keeping an official scorebook.

All teams go to home plate umpire with all changes.

(5u-6u) T-BALL, (7u-8u) COACH PITCH , and (8u) KID PITCH RULES:

NATIONAL BASEBALL RULES APPLIES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

Teams DO NOT need to bat roster.

Teams can play with 8 players. 

Only the 9th player will be called out. 

10th player is not called out.

(5u-6u) T-BALL

AT BAT: 

3 swings per plate appearance. 

Any batter who does not put a ball in play after 3 swings will be declared out. 

Any batted ball must leave the ten-foot semi-circle to be declared a fair ball

5 Runs Max Per Inning on innings (1-3)

Unlimited Runs on the 4th and after innings.

No Mathematical Calculation to end a game early.

No Mercy Rule.

No Infield Fly Rule.

The battermay not size up after it has been placed on the tee. 

The battermust wait for the verbal “batter bat” to swing

The pitcher must maintain contact with rubber until batter swings

(7u-8u) COACH PITCH

AT BAT:6 pitches or 3 swinging strikes not ending on a foul ball.

Unlimited foul balls.

7 Runs Max Per Inning on innings (1-3).

Unlimited Runs on the 4th and after innings.

No Mathematical Calculation to end a game early.
