WHO WE ARE:

Colleyville Baseball Association (CBA) has been committed to providing baseball opportunities to the youth of the area for over fifty years.  Our goal is to provide high quality opportunities for players and families of all levels of play (recreational play through majors).

EVENT ELIGIBILITY:

The CBA All-Star Tournament is for Recreational and Advanced Recreational (Premier) All-Star teams only.   No Select teams or players are allowed to participate.  This tournament is designed for the true baseball recreational All-Star team. -- no club teams or independent teams allowed. No select players allowed

Teams must have insurance and rosters on file through NCS software before play.

REGISTRATION PRIORITY [**New this Season**]:

The CBA desires to give priority in the registration process to other city baseball associations that participate in DFW Interlock (www.dfwinterlock.com) and/or TEBA (www.dfwteba.com) (“Priority Associations”). In order to achieve this on the NCS registration platform, all teams will initially go on the waitlist and the tournament director will move teams from Waitlist to Confirmed status manually based on the following criteria:

  • Priority Association teams will have registration priority from May 1st - May 5th. On May 6th at 9am, registration will be opened up to all other Recreational teams.

  • During the priority window, each Priority Association will be allowed 1 Premier team and 1 Rec All-Star team (this restriction does not apply to host city teams).

  • Before opening registration up to all other teams, the tournament director will move all additional Priority Association teams that are on the Waitlist to Confirmed status to the extent space is available.

  • Registration Fee must be paid within 24 hours of getting moved from the Waitlist to the Registered List.

BEHAVIOR AT EVENTS

The CBA has a Zero Tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for such behavior towards a tournament official, or umpire or towards another team or within teams. Anyone ejected must immediately leave the facility & is ejected for the full tournament. There is no ejected today, come back tomorrow. Behave and it's not a problem. Furthermore, depending on the severity of the behavior the ejected person may be subject to a permanent ban. Good Sportsmanship is critical, and is especially needed in today's youth sports environment. Remember these are GAMES played by CHILDREN.

SPORTSMANSHIP

Each Head Coach is responsible for the sportsmanship of his entire team, both players and parents and also his assistant coaches (and fans). Please always make sure to

demonstrate GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP so that these young athletes see a good example presented to them.

INTERACTION BETWEEN COACHES AND UMPIRES

Please remember, only Head Coaches interact with the umpires regarding questions, appeals, rules challenges, etc. (The two Head Coaches and the two Umpires only, no assistant coaches.) Assistant coaches must refrain from this and allow the Head Coach and the Umpire to work through any issues that may arise.

All ejections are reported to, and reviewed by, the Tournament Director (TD) and Umpire In Chief (UIC). Their decisions are final.

REFUNDS:

NO REFUND AFTER GAME TIMES ARE POSTED! A $75 administrative fee will not be refunded after the tournament starts. All refunds are determined as follows (Fee minus the $75 administrative, divided by game guarantee), any game started counts as a game played.

Full refunds will be given if the tournament is canceled due to weather before the tournament starts. The NCS sanction fee will not be refunded if the tournament is canceled due to weather.
