ALL TEAMS MUST…
  1. BE REGISTERED AND SANCTION THEIR TEAMS WITH NCS FOR THE CURRENT 2024-2025 SEASON.
  2. UPLOAD AND SUBMIT A COPY OF TEAM INSURANCE OR PAY $25 AT THE GATE UPON ENTRY TO COVER YOUR EVENT INSURANCE.
  3. COMPLETE AND UPDATED ONLINE PLAYER ROSTERS
  4. SUBMIT ENTRY FEE PAYMENT BY NO LATER THAN MONDAY BEFORE TOURNAMENT DATE.



3 GG TEAM ENTRY FEE:

  • 8U-HS $100.00 ENTRY FEE


  • Payment Deadline is No Later Than Monday before Tournament Date. However, we recommend that you pay as soon as possible to reserve your spot. We often fill up



UMPIRE FEE PER GAME / PER TEAM: 

  • 7u-8u: (1:20* No New Inning After 1:15* or 6 inn) PAP $25 per game

  • 9u-12u: (1:35* No New Inning After 1:30* or 6 inn) PAP $50 per game

  • 13u-18u: (1:50* No New Inning After 1:45* or 7 inn) PAP $60 per game



GAME BALLS PROVIDED:

  • We provide 2 NCS game balls per game.



  • Once the NCS game balls are exhausted, lost or not returned, teams must provide their own game balls.



GENERAL ADMISSION:

  • DAILY PASS:  $10.00



  • Children Under 10yrs Enter FREE! Military and First responder discounts

  • Wristbands must be worn at all times.

  • Broken wristbands will not be honored to re-enter park.

  • 3 Coaches per Team and Uniformed Players enter for free.



TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

  • 3 Game Guarantee

  • Sunday: morning: 2 pool games at 90 min drop dead.

    Afternoon: Single Elimination Bracket Games 90 min finish the inning. In the event of a tie California rule is in effect.



POOL &/OR BRACKET GAMES: 

  • GREEN & GOLD Brackets on Divisions with 8+ Teams.


  • All teams must be available and ready to play at any time 7:00 am until finish of tournament.

  • All games must start at their scheduled times unless otherwise approved by one of the tournament directors.

  • Teams should be ready to play 30 minutes prior to game scheduled time.

  • Game Clock starts at the conclusion of the plate meeting. 



PRIZES & AWARDS:

  • GOLD BRACKET:
     NCS Championship Rings, NCS Champion Banner, Tournament Champion MVP Wrestling belt, and BIG BAT BOMB SQUAD ring.
    NCS Finalist Rings, NCS Finalist Banner, finalist MVP award, and BIG BAT award.

  • GREEN BRACKET:
     NCS Championship Medals, NCS Champion Banner, Tournament Champion MVP Award, and Champion BIG BAT AWARD.
     NCS Finalist Medals, NCS Finalist Banner, Tournament Finalist MVP Award, and Finalist BIG BAT award.

  • Umpires will have challenge coins to hand out one player on either team each game who stood out to them. This player can be on the winning or loosing team.




VENUE RESTRICTIONS:

  • No Metal Cleats or Metal Spikes are allowed on portable pitching mounds and/or any turf surfaces.  

  • No Outside Food &/Or Drinks are allowed into the tournament venues.

  • No Ice Chests are allowed into the tournament venues.

  • Coaches are allowed to bring in water and sports drinks for their players only.



FOOD & DRINKS:

  • No outside food, drink, or coolers permitted in park premises.





ALL TEAMS MUST SUBMIT PAYMENT, UPDATE ONLINE PLAYER ROSTERS, AND UPLOAD TEAM INSURANCE:

  • Submit Entry Fee Payment in Full by No Later than Monday prior to the event date.  All NCS Events are Pay First/Play First.

  • Please Complete and Update Online Player Roster. All coaches are responsible for filling out an online player roster.  Rosters are available until Friday at 11:59 PM. Please submit your rosters as soon as possible. Players that do not appear online by the cutoff are not eligible to play!

  • Please Upload and Submit a Copy of Team Insurance Policy. If you did not buy your policy through National Championship Sports, you must add NCS (entity below) as an additionally insured. You can do this free of charge by contacting your insurance provider. All insurance needs to be uploaded online. We are NOT accepting insurance at the event.

CANCELATION OF EVENT:

  • In the event of rain/weather that result in canceling the entire tournament, teams will be issued a credit towards a future NCS CAT. 5 Baseball tournament.

  • In the event of rain canceling a tournament already in progress, a team may receive partial credit based on the amount of games played.

  • In the event of a paid team canceling prior to the schedule being made, the team will receive credit towards A future NCS CAT. 5 Tournament.

  • All deposits and payments are final. No Refunds, Only Credit for a future CAT. 5 Baseball tournaments are given. The tournament director may chose to refund money in certain circumstances.


RULES: (NO HYPR FIRE -5 BATS ARE ALLOWED)


 PITCH COUNT LIMITS:

NCS CENTRAL REGION BASEBALL RULES


NO METAL CLEATS ALLOWED:

  • No metal cleats on portable turf mounds.

  • No metal cleats on any turf fields &/or surfaces.



MODIFIED: Rule 6.01 BATTING RULE:

All teams (4U-18U) may elect to bat the following in a lineup:

  • Straight 9 

  • 9 with a DH

  • 10 with an EH

  • Entire rostered players present at the field (entire lineup)



OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD:

       CAT.5 BASEBALL WILL PROVIDE SCORE KEEPERS AND PITCH COUNTERS FOR ALL 9U-18U GAMES. They are the official books and pitch count for every game. What they have is what we will use.

  • An OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD must be filled out and turned into official score keeper at or before Home Plate meeting before the beginning of each game. 

  • All players participating in the game must be entered on the OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD to be eligible to participate in the game. 

  • Any player arriving after the start of a game must be listed on the OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD that was turned in to the score keeper prior to the start of the game. 

  • Late players may be added to the OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD at any time during the course of the game. However, they must be added before they are eligible to play.

  • All players on OFFICIAL LINE-UP/SCORECARD must be active online to be eligible to play.

  • PENALTY (For Player Not On The Official Line-Up/ScoreCard):



  • BATTING:  The player will be called out and must be added to The Official Line-Up/ScoreCard as a substitute.

  • DEFENSE: Player will be removed from the field and must be added to The Official Line-Up/ScoreCard as a substitute.



ORGANIZATION PROTECTION:

  • No two teams from the same organization will match-up in their first bracket playoff game unless the game is affected by a bye.



POOL PLAY PROTECTION:

  • Director reserves the right to enact pool protection at their discretion. If two teams have previously matched up in pool play, lower seeds may be switched to provide teams with new opponents for the first round of bracket play.



TIE GAMES:

  • Pool Play: TIE stands.

  • Bracket Play & Championship Games:  Bases are loaded with the last three outs teams will start with 1 out, batter’s count 0-0.



MERCY RUN RULES IN ALL DIVISIONS:

  • 15 runs after 2 complete innings of play.

  • 12 runs after 3 complete innings of play.

  • 8 runs after 4 complete innings of play.



BAT WEIGHT LIMITATIONS: (NO HYPE FIRE -5 BATS ALLOWED)

  • All Wood and/or Non-Wood Bats stamped with any of the following:
    (BBCOR .50), (USSSA 1.15 BPF), (USA Baseball).

  • 8u-12u: (No weight restrictions)

  • 13u: (No bats lighter than -5 max)

  • 14u-18u: (No bats lighter than -3 max/BBCOR ONLY)



HOME TEAM:

  • Coin Flip in all Pool Play games.

  • Single Elimination Bracket Play Games:


  • Higher Seed is the home team in all Single Elimination Bracket Play Games INCLUDING the Championship Game.



  • Double Elimination Bracket Play Games:

    • Higher Seed is the home team in all Double Elimination Bracket Play games EXCEPT the Championship Game.

    • The undefeated team chooses (Home/Visitor) in the Championship Game. Coin-flip for any “IF” Games. 



CAT.5 BASEBALL CODE OF CONDUCT:

  • We want all players, coaches, fans, umpires to have fun and enjoy the greatest game ever created! Therefore, CAT.5 Baseball and NCS have a zero-tolerance policy towards disrespectful and adverse behavior. Any fan, parent, player or coach will be ejected from the event for any adverse behavior towards anyone including but not limited to players, coaches, fans, parents, staff, vendors.
