In the event of a cancelation of weather we will push this event to the next weekend November 16-17, 2024
Divisions:
1st & 2nd grade will be 8U and play 40/60 Coach Pitch
3rd & 4th grade will be 10U and play 46/65
5th & 6th grade will be 12U and play 50/70
7th & 8th grade will be 14U and play 54/80
9th & 10th grade will be 16U and play 60/90
Teams:
Teams must consist of players from each town unless they are in a town with multiple school districts. In that case players must play for their school district (example a player that is in Pine Tree ISD must play for the Pine Tree team and can not play for Longview or Spring Hill). The only exemption for this is a player that lives in one school district but go to a different school may play with either teams. Also a player may play with an adjoining town if their school is 1A or 2A school district or a private school. This will allow all kids a chance to play that want to play. Players can not play down in age but are allowed to play up 1 grade division.
Player Classification:
For this NCS event ONLY. All team will be classified as D3 teams. Players that have a classification in the NCS system higher than D3 are still eligible to play and pitch. There will be no disqualification for this.
Game Rules:
We will follow bat and game rules from NCS. You can find those rules below.
National Championship Sports | Baseball | National Baseball Rules (playncs.com)
9th & 10th Grade must use -3 BBCOR
7th & 8th Grade must use -8, -5 or -3 BBCOR
1st - 6th Grade all bat sizes are legal but must be under the NCS bat guideline.
1st and 2nd grade division is allowed to play with only 9 players and are not required to take an out for the 10th spot.
Any rules not listed will revert back to NFHS rules.
Pitching Rules:
3rd - 8th Grade: 24 outs per weekend. Max of 18 outs in one day. If you pitch 7 outs in one day you can not pitch the second day.
9th & 10th Grade: No pitching restrictions
Uniforms:
TPS will provide up to 12 jerseys per team. Teams will provide their own hats. Hats do not have to match.
Schedule:
Teams will play 2 pool games on Saturday. Sunday will be broken down into a single elimination bracket based on seeding from the pool games. We will play this event out until we have a champion.
Other useful information:
Teams must provide 2 baseballs per game for the event.
Please check game cards before signing. Once a card is signed it will be used as the official score and pitching for both teams.
