South Coast World Series - Session II

World Series Itinerary 

Friday July 19th, 2024 

All teams and rostered players must attend team check in on Friday July 19th between 3:00pm -8:00pm. Teams and rostered players who do not attend the mandatory team check In will not be allowed to participate in the 2024 NCS South Coast World Series. All teams must have roster online prior to team check in. No players will be allowed to be added to team roster once check is finalized. 

Team check in and Skills Competitions are  being held at Portland Municipal Park between 3:00 -8:00 pm

World Series Pass: Available ONLY on Friday July 19th at Team Check in between 3:00 - 8:00pm

SKILLS COMPETITIONS

Skills Competitions will held at Portland Municipal Park on Friday July 19th, 2024 between 3:00 - 8:00 pm. Open time slots show up as you please. 

Around The Horn - 5 players

Fastest Man - Open to all participants  

Fastest Team - 4 players

Around the Horn 

Each team gets two (2) attempts.

The pitcher will start from the pitching position.

The clock will start when he releases the ball.

The Pitcher will throw to the catcher.

The Catcher must step on Home Plate and then throw to 3rd Baseman.

The 3rd Baseman must step on 3rd Base and then throw to the 2nd Baseman.

The 2nd Baseman must step on 2nd Base and then throw to the 1st Baseman.

The 1st Baseman must step on 1st Base and then throw to the Catcher.

Once the Catcher receives the ball and steps on Home Plate the clock will stop.

Fastest Man 

Each contestant will start at home plate with their lead foot on the plate.

Time will start on the official's mark.

The contestant will run the bases with time stopping when the contestant crosses the plate.

Each contestant will get 1 attempt.

Fastest Team 

Teams will receive two (2) attempts.

Team will consist of 4 players. 2 at second base and 2 at home plate.

Players may NOT lead off!

Players will run a relay style race. The first runner from home plate will take off and the clock will start. When that player touches second base, the first player at 2nd base will take off from behind the base and wait for the previous runner to cross in from of him touching second base before he will leave his spot. When the player from second going home touches home plate and passes in from of the player, the next player will take off from home plate. When the last player touches home plate, the clock will stop. We require that the next player running start behind the base or in the right handed batters box so that there is no question if the player left early. If the player leaves early, there will be a 5 second point deduction.

All players will run on the same size field

four (4) players per team will be allowed to participate.

Saturday July 20th, 2024  

Pool Games: 8:00 am - 3:00 PM 

Team Parade at Whataburger Stadium: 6:00 pm

Join us Saturday July 20th for the 2024 South Coast World Series Team Parade. 

The Corpus Christi Hooks want to invite all participants in the South Coast World Series to celebrate the 2024 NCS South Coast World Series

This game we will have a pre-game parade for South Coast World Series participants. 

Gates open at 5:35pm for a 7:05 pm First Pitch. 

All parents, players and coaches must purchase tickets for hooks  game to participate in the World Series team parade.
