Protest Rules & Procedures
Timing of Protests
- Any protest regarding a player must be filed before the end of the game.
- Failure to protest by this time constitutes acceptance of the opposing team and their players.
Protest Submission Process
- A non-refundable protest fee of $100 per player must be submitted to the home plate umpire.
- Along with the fee, provide a written explanation that includes the player's name and the reason for the protest.
Investigation Process
- Upon receipt, the home plate umpire will notify the on-site director to initiate the investigation.
- The game will continue while the protest is reviewed and resolved.
Proof of Eligibility
Age-Based Eligibility (Rule 1.01A):
- Players in 5U–18U divisions must have a photocopy of their original birth certificate with the team manager.
- Failure to present this document upon request will result in the team forfeiting the game(s) and being ejected from the tournament.
Grade-Based Eligibility (Rule 1.01B):
- Grade-based players must provide one of the following:
- A photocopy of their birth certificate
- A current report card
- An official school ID with the grade stated
- An official government document verifying the grade
- Home-schooled players unable to provide a report card must participate in their age division.
